Former Winn Parish Woman Dies In West Monroe

   The funeral of Mrs. Sarah Burnette, 74, widow of Thomas R. Burnette,
Route 4, West Monroe, was held at Mount Vernon church, Friday at 3 p. m.
with Rev. O. A. Wright officiating. Interment was in the Mount Vernon
cemetery.

   Mrs. Burnette, who was born in Winn parish on July 8, had lived 43
years in Quchita parish. She is survived by two sons, Thomas R. Burnette
of Doyline and W. I. Burnette of West Monroe; three daughters, Mrs. H.
H. Hobbs of Downsville, Mrs. W. F. Moore and Mrs. W. H. Riser, both of
West Monroe; three brothers, John Tullos of Swartz, Allen Tullos of Oak
Grove and Cleveland Tullos of West Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. Mattie
Barnes of West Monroe and Mrs. George Roper of Swartz.
