Burnum Dies In Texas, Buried In Winn Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Machen Burnum, 74, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, at Southern Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Kitchingham officiating. She died Thursday at Arlington, Texas. Burial was in the Cypress Creek Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Pallbearers were O. W. Machen, W. H. Machen, D. C. Machen, Luther Frazier, Elmo Frazier, and Garland Robinson, all nephews of the deceased. Mrs. Burnum was a native of Calvin and had lived most of her life in Winn Parish. Survivors include three sons, Ebbin and Clarence Burnum, Arlington, Texas; Martin Burnum, Spring Field, Ore.; one daughter, Mrs. Emma Waller, Arlington; two sisters, Mrs. J. E. Frazier, Winnfield and Mrs. Alma Robinson, Tallulah; four brothers, Henry Machen, Pierce F. Machen and H. M. Machen, all of Winnfield, and Morris Machen of Tallulah; 11 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
