Oil Derrick Accident Victim Buried Here Arnton Burch, 26, oil field worker, formerly of Winnfield, was fatally injured Wednesday when he fell out of a derrick on the H. A. Naylor wildcat well southeast of Jennings. Death was caused by accident, a coroner's jury held. Workers said Burch apparently released his safety belt so he could catch a pipe that had fallen away from the stack and bring it back to place when he slipped and fell to the ground. He is survived by his widow, formerly Miss Gladys Martin, and a two-year-old daughter. He is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Burch, four brothers and four sisters, Aubrey, Arnold, Durward, Agnes, Violet, Beatrice and Katherine of Winnfield and A. Burch of Rodessa. Funeral services were held at Zion Hill near Winnfield, Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock with Rev. B. C. Land, pastor local Baptist church officiating.
