Sister of J. R. Horn of Atlanta Succumbs

Funeral services for Mrs. Eugenia Burkett, 73, widow of the late Dr. A. J.
Burkett of Milton, La., who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter
Daniels, in Shreveport Saturday night after an extended illness, were held
Sunday with the Rev. R. T. Ware, pastor of the Shreveport Park Avenue
Methodist Church, officiating.

The body was taken to Lafayette, La. for interment.

Surviving the deceased are two daughters, Mrs. Walter Daniels and Miss Laura
Burkett of Alexandria, La.; one son, R. L. Burkett of Beaumont, Texas; one
brother, J. R. Horn of Atlanta, La., three granddaughters and one grandson.
