J. J. Burke, Long Winn Resident, Dies In Moss Bluff

John J. Burke, 95, one of the early residents of Winnfield and the father of
Arthur Burke, and the late Randall Burke, died at the Green Acres Rest Home
in South Louisiana early this month.

He was a former justice of the peace and bridge contractor of Moss Bluff.  He
will be remembered by many of the older citizens of Winnfield and Winn parish.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nancy Burke; one son, Arthur of Cheyenne, Wyo.;
one daughter, Mrs. E. C. Washburn of Coushatta; two sisters, Mrs. Henrietta
Levan of Shreveport and Mrs. Florence Culpepper of Beaumont, Texas.
