Great Uncle Of Local Resident Dies

Funeral services for Joe F. Burnum, 84, of Jonesboro, great uncle of Mrs. Fred
Chandler of Winnfield, were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Hodge Pentecostal Church
in Hodge with the Revs. Jimmy Miller and R. P. Bell officiating.

Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of
Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Mr. Burnum died Sunday, August 7, 1977 at Jackson Parish Hospital in Jonesboro
after a brief illness.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Florence Burnum of Jonesbor; four sons,
Daniel Burnum and Joel Burnum, both of Hodge, James Burnum of Maurepas, and
J. T. Burnum of Jonesboro; two daughters, Annie Lee Shows of Jonesboro and
Mrs. Aline Smith of Homer; 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and two
great great grandchildren.
