A. P. Burton, 84, Timberman, Dies Here Thursday

A. P. Burton, 84, retired independent crosstie and timber contractor, died in
Autumn Leaves Nursing Home, Winnfield, Thursday morning, after an illness of a
number of years.  He was born and reared in Lewisville, Arkansas, and had
been a resident of Winnfield since 1917.  He was widely known in the lumber
industry.

Mr. Burton was a member of the Episcopal Church.

Funeral arrangements were incomplete but the remains will be conveyed to
Lewisville, Ark., for final rites.

Mr. Burton is survived by his wife of Winnfield, and one brother, Ralph Burton
of Lewisville, Ark.
