Butler Services for Jack Dale Butler were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home with the Rev. Curtis Dickens officiating. Burial was in Springhill Cemetery, Jonesboro. Butler, 60, of Sikes, died at 2:55 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 1980 in Veterans Administration Medical Center, Pineville. He was retired from the U. S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Audie Butler of Sikes; two sons, Dayrl Wayne Butler of Thibodeaux and Ronald Butler of West Monroe; one daughter, Dale Phillips of Columbia; five brothers, Brice Butler and Clayton Butler both of Sikes,; J. W. Butler of Joyce, Crosley Butler of Sunnyside, Washington (only four listed); four sisters, Lilly Brister and Elva Southern, both of West Monroe, Nora Robinson of Jonesboro, and Ada Howell of Natches, Washington; and four grandchildren.
