V. Beavers Dies After Long Illness At Home In Sikes Funeral Services Held at The Wright Cemetery Monday Afternoon At 3 O'clock Funeral services for T. V. Beavers, who died at his home in Sikes Sunday, were held at the Wright Graveyard Monday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock. Mr. Beavers was about fifty years old and was born and reared in the Hill community near Sikes. Mr. Beavers was active in public life, having served as a school board member from his ward. He has bee in ill health for several months suffering from a stroke of paralysis. J. B. Adams and Winifred Emmons had charge of the burial services. The deceased is survived by a number of daughters and sons, the three eldest daughters being Miss Lyda Beavers of Baton Rouge, Mrs. B. F. Elzey of Shreveport, and Miss Leolla Beavers of Sikes. No. 2 Mr. T. V. Beavers Dies At His Home In Sikes Mr. T. V. Beavers died at his home here Sunday afternoon after a lingering illness. Mr. Beavers was fifty years of age. The community sympathizes with the family in this loss. The community as well as the family has lost a devoted Husband, a father and a true citizen. Mr. Beavers was a School Board member for a time where he made many friends. Besides a host of friends he leaves his widow and the following children to mourn his death: Misses Lyda, Leola, Tunnie Beavers, Mrs. B. I. Elzia, Hansford, Orland, Leuerle, and Demeise, two sisters and one brother, Mrs. R. W. Smith of Monroe, Mrs. Oscar Crain and Mrs. Roy Beavers of Sikes.
