Colored Deaths

Joseph Blackwood, Jr.

Last rites for Joseph Blackwood, Jr., 74, were held at the Union Hill Baptist
Church, Route 3, Winnfield, at 11:30 a.m. March 30, 1964.  He passed away at
the home of his daughter in New Iberia, La., March 25.  Burial was in the
Union Hill Cemetery under direction of Winnfield Funeral Home.

Survivors are his wife, Winnie P. Blackwood, Winnfield; two daughters, Ritchie
B. Dauphine, New Iberia and Dorothy B. Roberts, Chicago, Ill.; one sister,
Mary B. Davenport, Winnfield; one brother, Felix Blackwood, Abbeville, Ala.;
two grandchildren.
