Bozeman Died At 2:45 Thursday Morning Mr. M. W. Bozeman died suddenly at his home here this morning from heart failure. He was one of the oldest residents of Winnfield, having moved here just after the first railroad entered Winnfield. Besides his wife he leaves six children: H. B. Bozeman, Mike E. Bozeman, Eck Bozeman, and Miss Eva Bozeman of Winnfield; Mrs. P. J. Willis, Shreveport, La.; and Mrs. G. C. Owen, Houston, Texas. Also, the following brothers and sisters: T. L. Bozeman, Bienville, La.; L. E. L. Bozeman, El Paso, Texas; Mrs. Emma O'Neal, El Paso, Texas; Mrs. W. M. Hasting, Dawson, Ga.; and Mrs. Eula King, Santa Anna, Cal. In addition to the above he also leaves six grandchildren. Mr. Bozeman was born in Terral County, Georgia in 1859, and in 1880 went to Arkadelphia, Ark., and there married Miss Caroline Elizabeth Eck in 1890. In 1901 he moved to Winnfield. Mr. Bozeman belonged to an old southern family that has been identified with the history of the south since colonial days. Dr. Nathan Bozeman, Chief Surgeon in Gen. Robert E. Lee's army; Col. Mike Bozeman, President of the first Arkansas Constitutional Convention of 1854, former Governors Bulger and Browning of Alabama and Texas respectively being relatives. Interment will be in the Winnfield Cemetery Friday morning at 10:00 o'clock. Rev. Alwin Stokes and Rev. P. M. Caraway will officiate.
