C. C. Blackwell Dies Sat. After Lengthy Illness

Charles C. Blackwell, 85, died at 8 p.m. Saturday night, August 24, 1968 in a
Shreveport hospital after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the Pine Ridge Baptist
Church with burial in the Pine Ridge Cemetery near Goldonna under direction of
Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Survivors are one son, Pearce Blackwell of Goldonna; two daughter, Mrs. Lotta
Mae LeFleur of Crane, Tex., and Mrs. Marjorie Fitzgibbons of Okinawa; one
brother, Thomas Blackwell of Minden; five grandchildren and six great
grandchildren.
