THE WINNFIELD-NEWS AMERICAN Friday, March 18, 1938 Mrs. D. E. Blake of Calvin Succumbs To Long Illness Funeral Services Held on Monday. Interment in Bethlehem Cemetery Mrs. D. E. Blake, age 54, a lifelong citizen of Winn parish died at her home at Calvin Saturday of last week after a lengthy illness. She was a devout member of the Calvin Baptist church. Funeral services were held at the Calvin Baptist church on Monday afternoon at two o'clock with F. M. Shows, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Alwin Stokes of Winnfield, Interment was made in the Bethlehem cemetery near Calvin. Mrs. Blake is survived by her husband, D. E. Blake; one son, I. C. Blake of Jonesboro, and one daughter, Mrs. C. M. Carter of Calvin, a bother, Joe Beckham, of Ringgold, and a sister, Mrs. John Hinton of Epps.
