Mrs. J. Brewton Succumbs; Rites Held At Antioch

Funeral services for Mrs. Janie Brewton, 66, of Goldonna, were held at 2:30
p.m. Sunday, at the Antioch Methodist Church with the Revs. Hazel Anderson and
Huey White officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of
Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Mrs. Brewton died Saturday, February 20, 1971, at Carter's Nursing Home of
Jonesboro after a long illness.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Brewton of Goldonna; a son, Robert Lee
Brewton of Baton Rouge; three daughters, Mrs. Irene White, Mrs. Betty Carr,
and Mrs. Nellie Oxford, all of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Paul Liles and
Chester Liles, both of Jonesboro; and five grandchildren.
