Bice, 37, Held Here Feb. 4 Funeral Services for Paul R. Bice, 37, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Southern Funeral Home chapel of Winnfield with Rev. W. A. Wimbs and Rev. Lester Carpenter officiating. Burial was in Winnfield Cemetery. Mr. Bice died of gunshot wounds at 4:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3, in a Pineville hospital four hours after he was wounded at the Melody Grill in Alexandria, La. No arrests had been made in connection with the shooting at the time this newspaper went to press. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Bice of Winnfield; one brother, Charles Bice of New Orleans; one daughter, Debra Bice of Oakland, Calif.; one son, Wallace Rai Bice of Alexandria. Pallbearers were E. E. Crooks, Alvin Boatman, Benny Long, Bobby Schmidt, John Mack Schmidt, and J. D. Adams.
