S. 84 west at Lakeside Baptist Church. He was identified as Sherman Branch, 25. The family reported that Branch was enroute from Winnfield to Saline to visit his brother, W. A. Branch, Jr. Branch had left Winnfield sometime after 10 p.m. and the Winnfield Fire Department got a call on a wreck at 11:20 p.m. Officials said all the doors were frozen shut and that no one could get Branch out. One deputy said that Winnfield resident Jimmy Whisenant and a companion were the first to the scene. Branch was employed at a tractor repair shop. Funeral services were scheduled for 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home. Rev. C. D. Bates was to conduct the services. Bural was planned for the Magnolia Cemetery at Saline. Other survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Branch, Sr., of Winnfield; a brother, Tommy Eugene Branch of Saline; a sister, Mrs. Shelia Branch, Winnfield; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Lean Flynn of California.
