Willie Burnum, 56, died Sunday, March 25, 1973 in an Alexandria hospital. He was a resident of Route 3, Winnfield and owner of a Winnfield barber shop. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Woodmen of the World. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Howard Burnum of Winnfield; a son, William Martin Burnum of Winnfield; a daughter, Mrs. Judith Cloud of Winnfield; a sister, Mrs. Lorice Cole of Joyce; his mother, Mrs. Lillie Burnum of Winnfield and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in Bethlehem Baptist Church near Calvin with the Rev. Wilmer C. Jordan, assisted by Rev. Lee Mack Robertson. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield. Acting as pallbearers were Rayford Riley, Charles Bates, C. C. Taylor, Joel Edwad Burnum, Hesley D. Canerday, Bobby Dale Canerday.
