Cain Passes Away At Wichita Falls, Texas Vollie W. Cain, aged 46 years, died at his home in Wichita Falls, Texas on Saturday, September 25, 1926, following an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were held at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the Methodist Church at that place, interment being made under the auspices of the Masonic fraternity, of which he sas a member. Mr. Cain formerly resided at Shreveport, and while connected with Herman Loeb, cotton buyer, he was married August 26, 1905, to Miss Ruth Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip S. Smith, of Colfax. Removing to Wichita Falls in 1919, he became connected with a water improvement district in a clerical capacity, remaining in that position until this year when he engaged in the real estate business. He was a member of the Methodist Church, of the Kay Bible class, and Faith Lodge No. 1158, A. F. & A. M., and was interested in affairs of the city to his death. He is survived by his wife and three daughters, Mrs. Sterling Crumpler, Miss Vera Cain, and Vollie Jean Cain, aged twenty months (Colfax Chronicle).
