Charles J. Calhoun, of Montgomery, Dies of Heart Attack

Funeral services for Charles J. Calhoun, 58, former postmaster and school
teacher at Montgomery, were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 1947 at the
Montgomery Baptist Church with the Rev. M. B. Atkins officiating.  Burial was
in the Mars Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Calhoun died of a heart attack Thursday afternoon, September 18, while
fighting a grass and forest fire near his home.  His body was found later that
afternoon by two Montgomery boys.
