Calhoun Aged Mars Hill Citizen Buried Funeral services were conducted Friday, December 7th at three o'clock for Mrs. Georgia Calhoun who died Wednesday, December 5th, after a long illness, at her home in the Mars Hill Community. Known to everyone in the community as "Grandmother Calhoun," the deceased was well known throughout the Mars Hill settlement and was a member of the Mars Hill Baptist Church where last rites were conducted by Rev. Moses Mercer of Colfax. Interment followed in the Mars Hill Cemetery. Surviving the deceased are the following children: Mrs. Frank LeBaron, Mrs. L. L. McManus, of Atlanta, Route 2; Raymon Calhoun of Verda, and Rev. Andon Calhoun of Riverton, La. Grandchildren are Mrs. Lee Brady, Hargis; Mrs. Edna Forbes, Epps, La.; Mrs. Violet Givens, Mrs. Edward Chandler, Willie LeBaron, Clifton LeBaron, of Atlanta; Atlo LeBaron, Pollock, La.; Leon and Dewey LeBaron of Verda; Mrs. Edward Hale, Mrs. I. B. Hale of Atlanta, Route 2; Mrs. Earl Stapleton, Boddie Calhoun of Columbia, La.; Mrs. Pugh McLaren, Wheeling, La.; Miss Lurline Calhoun of Epps, La. Forty five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren also survive the deceased.
