Father of Mrs. Sam Barton of Atlanta Dies in Montgomery

Howard Calhoun, 69, died in Montgomery Monday, Feb.20, after a long illness
with cancer.

Last rites were conducted at the Mt. Zion Methodist Church, Winn Parish,
Wednesday with the Rev. D. S. Durand, Rev. Marvin Doolittle, and Rev. Clyde
Scott officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral
Home of Winnfield.

Mr. Calhoun is survived by his widow; four daughters, Mrs. Sam Barton of
Atlanta, La., Mrs. Ina Noble of Campti, Mrs. J. Skolaski and Mrs. Leon Mizell
both of Houston, Tex.; three sons, George of Kansas City, Mo., Johnny and
Loyce Calhoun, both of Houston; one brother, Dan Calhoun, of Campti, and 11 grandchildren.
