L. O'Neal officiating. Burial was in the Sibley Cemetery near Choudrant under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. Calhoun died Friday night in Methodist Hospital, Houston, after a short illness. He was a retired farmer, a native of Choudrant, and chairman of the deacons of Alabama Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bessie Calhoun of Choudrant; two daughters, Mrs. Lou Ferguson of Winnfield and Mrs. Wanda Huey of Ruston; a son, Billy Calhoun of Oak Grove; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Davis of Sterlington, Mrs. Leta Holstead of Ruston, and Mrs. Katie Lea Holstead of Port Neches, Texas; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers were John Arch O'Neal, Norris Smith, Gene Posey, K. Dale Ford, Curtis Dugdale, and Joe Dugdale.
