Mrs. J. M. Caldwell Winn Native Dies In Corpus Christi

Mrs. J. M. Caldwell, 95, pioneer resident of Corpus Christi, Texas and native
of Winn Parish, died June 17 at her home in Corpus Christi.  She was the
daughter of the late George Warner of Grayson, and went from Winn Parish as a
bride when 18 years of age to Corpus Christi in an ox-drawn wagon.

The flag at Nueces County court house was flown at half staff in memory of
Mrs. Caldwell at the time of her passing.

She is survived by five children.  Mrs. C. A. Rentz of Rt. 1, Dodson, is a
niece by marriage of the deceased.
