All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: April 25, 1952 Winnfield News-American Mrs. Campbell, Prominent Winn Citizen, Succumbs Mrs. Minnie Campbell, 70 years of age, succumbed at her home in Dodson at 1:30 a.m. April 20, 1952. Mrs. Campbell had been in ill health for a long period of time and during the past year her health had grown worse and her passing was not unexpected. She was a native of Bienville Parish and was married to Sam Campbell in January, 1901 and to this union were born 6 children, 3 of whom survive. They are Mrs. Bertha Fulgara of Pineville, Judson Campbell of Dodson, and Scott Campbell of Choudrant; one sister, Mrs. Lou Pickins of Tennessee; three brothers, Virgil Tims, Hodge; Jim Tims, Arcadia; Walter Tims, Coushatta; five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Services were held at the Dodson Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Prager, pastor, and the Rev. Grafton L. Shaw, Methodist pastor, officiating. Pallbearers were J. L. Mathews, Carthal Payne, Clayton Norred, J. Y. Terry, Enos Murphy, and K. C. Hightower. Interment was in the Zion Hill Cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.
