Campbell Graveside services for Virginia R. Campbell, 83, of Opelika, AL will be Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at 2 p.m., at LaFayette City Cemetery. The Rev. John Mann will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 to11 a.m., at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home. Mrs. Campbell, who died at her residence, was born March 23, 1919, in Winn Parish, La. Mrs. Campbell was a native of Winn Parish, La., and had been a resident of Opelika for the past 40 years. She was retired from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. She was an avid gardener and bridge player, and was active her entire life. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Stacy Campbell, in 1983. She is survived by two stepdaughters, Billie Campbell Oliver and husband Sam Oliver of Opelika, and Joyce Campbell DeLamar and husband Jimmy DeLamar of Dadeville; one sister, Sue d'Aquin of Mandeville, La.; four nephews; five step grandchildren; and six step great-grandchildren. The family will accept flowers or memorial donations may be madeto a charity of choice. Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home is directing.
