Canerday Services for Clarissa Allen Canerday were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Southern with the Rev. Leonard Free and Dr. Calvin Phelps officiating. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery under direction of Southern. Mrs. Canerday, 74, of Winnfield, died Saturday, June 22, 1991, in St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria. She was a retired teacher. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, the AARP, and the Keenagers of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Jimmy Earl Canerday of Hessmer; one daughter, Jackie Stanfill of Winnfield; one sister, Rose Thompson of Baton Rouge; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were Rodney Shelton, Ralph Mueller, Benny Canerday, Ronald D. Canerday, Jerry Reed, and Buddy Bates.
