Jimmie Earl Canerday, age 58, of Hessmer, La., passed away Tuesday, January 

11, 2005, at his residence in Hessmer, La.  Mr Canerday was a Service 

Supervisor for Bellsouth for 30 years and a member of Cypress Creek Baptist 

Church.  He Served in the National Guard.  



He was the son of the late Jewel Canerday and the late Clarissa (Allen) 

Canerday.



He is survived by his 



Two Daughters,

Christa LaBorde of Hessmer, La.                                     

Tara Guillot and her husband Tommy of Hessmer, La.



One Son,

Shane Canerday of Calvin, La.



One Sister,

Jackie Stanfill of Winnfield, La.



A Special Aunt and Uncle,

Jeraline and Jack Shelton of Winnfield, La.



Seven grandchildren        



Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Homes, Inc., 202 E. 

Lafayette St., Winnfield, La., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 

PM to 10:00 PM Thursday, January 13, 2005 and from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM Friday, 

January 14, 2005.  Funeral services will be at Southern Funeral Home at 11:00 

AM Friday, January 14, 2005 , with Rev. Lamar Carpenter,

and Bro. Bobby Bates officiating.  Interment will be at Bethlehem Cemetery in 

Calvin, La.



R.D. Canerday, Rodney Shelton, Stanley Garrett, Dwaine Garrett, John Canerday, 

Dorman Guilliams, Mike Carpenter, and Delane Crain will serve as Pallbearers.
