P. C. Canerday Succumbs After Brief Illness

P. C. Canerday, 63, of Calvin, employee of the Louisiana Highway Department,
died at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1965 in a local hospital, following a short
illness.

A native of Calvin, he was a member of the Calvin Baptist Church.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Calvin Baptist Church with Rev.
T. E. Williams officiating.  Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery under
direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Survivors are his wife, one son, Johnny Canerday of Calvin, one daughter, Mrs.
Melvin James of Winnfield, two sisters, Mrs. Clinton Bates and Mrs. L. L.
Burnum of Calvin, and two grandchildren.
