G. Canterbury, former resident of Atlanta, who died in his home at 2207 McCutcheon Ave. in Shreveport last Wednesday afternoon. Services were in Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Shreveport with Rev. Paul Brooks officiating. Burial was in Central Park Cemetery, under direction of Rose- Neath Funeral Home. Mr. Canterbury, 50, was born in Atlanta and spent all of his life there until he moved to Shreveport about seven years ago. He is survived by his widow; a son, Alfred Grady, Jr.; five daughters, Mrs. Fay Ritter of Bethlehem, Pa., Mrs. E. M. Neeley, Betty, Nelly Louise, and Melba Gail, all of Shreveport; four brothers, J. G. of Alexandria, Charlie of Florien, Dallas of Houston, Texas, Frank of Magnolia, Ark.; a sister, Mrs. J. L. Barberousse of Taylor; and his stepmother, Mrs. J. H. Canterbury, and five grandchildren.
