D. Cantwell, wee held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 1968 in the First Baptist Church, with Dr. W. L. Holcomb of Alexandria, former pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home. Serviing as pallbearers were Dennis Shell, Rudolph Foster, James Watts, Sid Nelson, John W. Teddlie, and Horace Alexander. Mrs. Cantwell died at 1:35 a.m. Tuesday in a nursing home following a short illness. She was born and reared in the Wheeling community and had made her home in Winnfield most of her lifetime. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Leon Cantwell of Little Rock, Ark.; two daughters, Mrs. J. S. Coombs and Mrs. F. L. Bickham, both of Shreveport.
