Canterbury Rites Are Held Sunday Afternoon Funeral services for J. H. Canterbury, who died in a Shreveport hospital Saturday night, were held Sunday afternoon at three o'clock at the Atlanta Baptist Church. Rites were conducted by the Rev. F. L. Fletcher of Selma and the Rev. J. H. Keys, pastor of the Atlanta Church. Interment was in the church cemetery. The deceased was a charter member of the Atlanta Baptist Church and served as deacon since its organization. He was active in civic circles of his community and for a number of years was a member of the local school board. Surviving are his widow; five sons, J. G. Canterbury, Alexandria, Charlie Canterbury, Houston, Texas, Frank Canterbury, Magnolia, Ark., A. G. Canterbury, Atlanta, Dallas Canterbury, Houston, Texas, and one daughter, Mrs. J. L. Barberousse, Florein. Pallbearers were the grandsons and the flowers girls were granddaughters.
