B. Cantrell Held May 9, 1952 Funeral services for Charlie B. Cantrell, 77, who passed away after a lingering illness, at his home here May 9, were held Saturday at 3 p.m. with Rev. Alwin Stokes, Presbyterian minister, and Rev. S. J. Sjolander, pastor of the South Winnfield Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Zion Hill Cemetery near Tannehill under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Mr. Cantrell had been a resident of Winnfield for the past seven years, having come here from Vidalia after retiring from the L. and A. railroad, where he was employed for 25 years. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 305, Vidalia. Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mittie C. Cantrell; one son, C. F. Cantrell, Jr., of Sibley, La.; four daughters, Mrs. Ruby Seay, Mrs. Henry Hodge, Mrs. Geneva Fuller, all of Winnfield, Mrs. Lucille Anderson of San Diego, Calif.; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
