Funeral Conducted For W. C. Canerday Wednesday, Jan. 23

Funeral services were held for William C. Canerday, 59, of Calvin, at the
Bethlehem Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday January 23, 1952.  Rites were
conducted by Judge Cas Moss of Winnfield and interment was in the Bethlehem
Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mr. Canerday died January 22 in a local hospital after a brief illness.  He
was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Herman of New Orleans, Sam of
Winnfield, and Bobby Dale of Calvin; three brothers, Charlie, Marshall, and
Preston, all of Calvin; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Burnum of Calvin and Mrs.
Clinton Bates of Calvin, and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased and included Willie Burnum, Huey
Canerday, Dee Canerday, Buddy Canerday, Buddy Bates, and Merle Bates.
