Funeral services were conducted at the Southern Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 12 with Rev. C. C. Martin officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Kenneth Wall. Burial was in the Zion Cemetery near Georgetown under direction of Southern Funeral Home. The Masonic Lodge had charge of the graveside rites. Mr. Capps was born in Houston, Texas, but had spent most of his life in Winnfield. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. I. A. Capps. He was a member of the Laurel Heights Baptist Church and of the local Masonic Order. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Flora Capps, of Winnfield; one brother, Jack Capps of San Jose, Calif.; seven sisters, Mrs. Ira Green of Shreveport; Mrs. J. R. Wilson of Ft. Worth; Mrs. J. Warren Hockaday of Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Miley A. Walsworth of Campti; Miss Helen Capps and Mrs. Mary Hammons of Winnfield; Mrs. J. G. Dickerson of Red Bud, Ill.
