A. Capps, Retired Carpenter, Dies Here January 26 I. A. Capps, 79, retired carpenter, died in a local hospital January 26, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Winn Parish near Georgetown and lived his entire life in this parish. Funeral services were conducted at the Southern Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. January 27, with the Rev. C. C. Martin, pastor of the Laurel Heights Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Zion Cemetery near Georgetown under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Acting as pallbearers were Jimmy Hammons, Charles Hammons, Barry Greer, Ira Greer, J. R. Wilson, and Johnny Wheat. Mr. Capps leaves two sons, Henry of Winnfield and Jack W. of San Jose, Calif.; seven daughters, Mrs. Ira Greer, Shreveport, Mrs. J. W. Hockaday, Seattle, Wash., Mrs. J. R. Wilson, Ft. Worth, Texas, Mrs. Miley Walsworth, Campti, Mrs. Mary Hammons and Miss Helen Capps, Winnfield, and Mrs. J. G. Dickerson, Red Bud, Illinois; 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, J. W. Capps of Georgetown and one sister, Mrs. J. W. Brister of Winnfield.
