Jimmie Aline Carter, 48, was pronounced dead at her home by Winn Parish Deputy Coroner Jonathon Allen. Winn Parish Sheriff's Department officials said they were notified at 7:55 a.m. Saturday morning of the incident. Miss Carter was apparently shot with a .38 caliber pistol. But, officials said there was no sign of foul play. Article No. 2 Services for Jimmie Aline Carter were held at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Southern with Dr. Calvin Phelps officiating. Burial was in Yankee Springs Cemetery, Goldonna. Ms. Carter, 48, of Route 3, Winnfield, died Friday in her residence. She was a native of Winnfield and a licensed practical nurse. Survivors include one son, Randy of Jonesboro; one daughter, Ronda R. Higginbotham of Baton Rouge; her mother, Vergie Carter of Winnfield; three brothers, Sonny Carter of Mansfield, Sammy Carter of Weston, and Billy Carter of Natchitoches, and four grandchildren.
