Mother Of Local Woman Dies At Montgomery

Mrs. Annie L. Carroll, 82, mother of Mrs. Clarence Price of Winnfield, died at
her home in Montgomery on December 21.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 22, at 3 p.m. at the Mt. Zion
Methodist Church in Winn Parish, with Rev. Kiesler officiating, assisted by
Rev. Wayne Durham.  Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery under direction of
Southern Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased.

Mrs. Carroll was born May 6, 1871 at Urania.  She was a member of the
Methodist Church.

Survivors are two sons, N. M. Carroll of Shreveport and Ellis J. Carroll of
Amarillo, Texas; five daughters, Miss Eva Carroll and Mrs. G. R. Gilcrease of
Montgomery, Mrs. Violet Winterowd and Mrs. Louis Ellis of Shreveport, and Mrs.
Clarence Price of Winnfield; two brothers, G. P. Martin of Chatham and D. J.
Martin of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. H. C. Johnson of Grayson and Mrs.
Willie Johnson of Sikes; 20 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
