Mrs. Sam Carson Dies; Funeral Tuesday, Aug. 12

Mrs. Belva B. Carson, 79, of Calvin, died at 8:45 p.m. August 10 in Winnfield
General Hospital.  Mrs. Carson was a native of Atlanta.  Her husband preceded
her in death.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 12, at 11 a.m. in Southern Funeral
Home Chapel, Rev. L. G. Shaw officiating.  Interment was in the Sanders Chapel
Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

She is survived by three sons, Reed Carson, Winnfield; Perry Carson, Macon,
Georgia; and Samuel Carson of Calvin; three daughters, Mrs. Edith Carpenter,
Miss Fern Carson, and Mrs. Pearl Leggett, Calvin; one brother, Raiford
Bonnette of Winnfield; 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
