Funeral Rites For Mrs. Carter Held Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. Elma Bagwell Carter, 75, of Calvin, were held at 2
p.m. Monday at Calvin Baptist Church with the Rev. Eugene Love officiating.

Burial was at Sanders Chapel Cemetery at Calvin under direction of Southern
Funeral Home of Winnfield.

A native of Winn Parish, she was a member of the Calvin Baptist Church.

She died Sunday, April 21, 1974 in a local hospital after a long illness.

Survivors include one son, R. C. Carter of Shreveport; two daughters, Mrs.
Leon Carpenter of Calvin and Mrs. Arline Teer of Houston, Tex.; three
brothers, Grady and Pat Bagwell, both of Calvin, and Clarence Bagwell of
Goldonna; one sister, Mrs. Ollie Lisenbia of Winnfield; six grandchildren, and
eight great grandchildren.
