Carey, Former Carpenter Here, Learned Of By Friends Word was received recently of the death of D. K. Carey, who for many years was a well-known cabinet maker in Winnfield. Mr. Carey, about 95 years old at that time, died during July at the Bonner Home in Algiers, where he had been since leaving Winnfield. He was a relative of Phoebe Carey, a hymnal writer. All members of his immediate family preceded him in death. He had been in correspondence with friends in Winnfield, who not hearing from him in some time, wrote the Superintendent of the Bonner Home and learned of his death.
