Mrs. J. Carter, Dies; Final Rites In Georgetown

Mrs. Jessie M. Carter, 74, of Georgetown, died at 3:30 a.m. Monday, February
12, 1968 in an Alexandria hospital.

Survivors include two sons, Herman O. Carter of New Orleans and Lowell L.
Carter of Alexandria; one brother, Luther R. Murphy of Georgetown; four
sisters, Mrs. C. S. Wiggins of Tullos, Mrs. Effie Kees of Pollock, Mrs. C. E.
Johnson of Georgetown, and Mrs. Willie Clements of Holly Grove, Ark.; give
grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Georgetown Baptist
Church with burial in the Georgetown Cemetery.
