Kenneth C. Carpenter, Sr.

Services for Kenneth C. Carpenter, Sr., of Winnfield were held at 2 p.m.
Sunday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Howell
officiating.  Burial was in Winnfield City Cemetery.

Carpenter, 70, died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 1985 in Humana
Hospital, Winn Parish.

Survivors include his wife, Loresse Carpenter of Winnfield; three daughters,
Peggy Rachal of Plaquemine, Annette Womack and June Sanders, both of
Winnfield; two sons, Kenneth Carpenter, Jr., of Sikes, and Eugene Cockerham of
Augustus, Ga; three sisters, Irene Anderson of Shreveport, Villie Carroll of
Huttig, Ark., and Flo Evans of Winnfield; one brother, Curtis Carpenter of
Bentley; 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
