Funeral Rites For L. C. Carpenter Friday At 3 P.M.

Funeral services for Lenear C. "Strick" Carpenter, 79, of Calvin, who died in
a Winnfield hospital Wednesday, July 28, after a brief illness, will be held
at 3 p.m. Friday in the New Hope Methodist Church with Rev. Grafton Shaw
officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral
Home of Jonesboro.

Mr. Carpenter was a retired farmer.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Clayton White of Joyce; two brothers, M.
C. Carpenter and R. C. Carpenter, both of Joyce.
