Final Rites For Mrs. Carpenter Held Here April 11

Mrs. Mary Catherine Carpenter, 94, died Friday, April 10, 1964 in a Ruston
nursing home after a long illness.  She was a native of Lake Village,
Arkansas, and a member of the Methodist Church.

Funeral services were conducted at the Winnfield Southern Funeral Home Chapel
Saturday, April 11, at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. George W. Ross officiating. 
Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Acting as pallbearers were W. C. Hicks, Lamar Berry, Huey Gates, Joe Shelton,
Reece L. Stuckey, and John Priest, Jr.

Mrs. Carpenter was the mother of the late U. B. Carpenter of Winnfield.  She
is survived by one son, Roy Carpenter, Winnfield, 10 grandchildren, and 18
great grandchildren.
