CARPENTER, 59, OF DODSON, BURIED AT BETHLEHEM Wise Carpenter, 59 of Dodson, died Wednesday, August 7, at a Shreveport, La. Hospital, following several months illness. Funeral services were held Thursday, August 8, at 2 p.m., at the Bethlehem cemetery of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. Rev. C.M. Robinson of Winnfield, pastor of the Assembly of God Church, conducted the services under the direction of the Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Pallbearers, nephews of the deceased, were Virgil, Fred, and Sherman Carpenter, DeLoy and Clayton Green, and Joe Carpenter. Mr. Carpenter was born and reared in Winn parish. At an early age he married Mollie Dean of Ward 10, Winn parish, La., and to this union five children were born. They were three daughters, Villiage, Floy and Irene, and two sons, Curtis and Buster, all now residents of Winn parish. Brothers and sisters surviving Mr. Carpenter are: Mrs. S.M. Green of Route 1, Dodson, with whom he made his home for a number of years; P.C. Carpenter, Route 4, Winnfield, D.C. Carpenter, Rt. 1, Goldonna, N.H. Carpenter, Rt. 1, Dodson, and L.C. Carpenter, Rt. 4, Winnfield, and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
