F. Carrol, Brother of Mrs. B. E. Gaar of Dodson, Dies at Home on Bayour Rapides P. J. Carol, who died at his home on Bayou Rapides on November 21, had many friends in Winn Parish. Mr. Carrol was born in Winn Parish on March 4, 1875, and was reared in this parish. Funeral services were held at his home, and burial was in the Paul Cemetery, near Lecompte, under direction of the Rev. Middleton, of Boyce, and of the Rev. Burnside, of Lecompte. Mr. Carrol married Miss Mary White in Winn Parish in 1898. To this union was born eight children, who with his wife, survive him. He had been a member of the Methodist Church since he was a young man. Those who survive him are his wife, Mrs. Mary Carrol, and their eight children: Mrs. E. Anderson, San Diego, Calif., Mrs. A. Rayburn, Lecompte, La., C. C. Carrol, Lafayette, La., Jesse Carrol, Tampa, Florida, Andrus, Kate, and R. C. Carrol, of Boyce. Three sisters, Mrs. B. E. Gaar, Dodson, La., Mrs. W. Gladney, Monroe, La., Mrs. L. Simmons, Joyce, La.; six grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
