C. B. Carter of Calvin Succumbed Friday at 80 Years

C. B. Carter, 80, of Calvin, died Friday night in a Winnfield hospital after a
long illness.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Bethlehem Baptist Church
near Calvin with burial in the church cemetery.  Rev. Louis Moffett and Rev.
R. F. Hancock officiated.

Mr. Carter, a lifelong resident of Winn Parish is survived by his wife, Mrs.
Lilly Carter; four daughters, Mrs. B. H. Weeks of Goldonna; Mrs. Virgil
Carpenter, Mrs. D. E. Garrett, and Mrs. Robert Koone, all of Winnfield, Route
Three, and 19 grandchildren.
