E. K. Carter, 68, Calvin Native, Dies Sunday

Edward Knoble Carter, 68, of Calvin died Sunday, March 29, 1970 at 10:45 a.m.
in a Winnfield hospital.  He was a Mason and a member of the Calvin Baptist
Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Flora Carter of Calvin; one son, John Carter
of Winnfield; a brother, R. B. Carter of Calvin; and two sisters, Mrs. Willie
Rhymes and Mrs. Ella Quarles, both of Winnfield.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Southern Funeral Home
chapel with Rev. Leonard Free officiating, assisted by Rev. C. C. Martin. 
Burial was in Sanders Chapel Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites.
