Funeral Services For J. L. Carter of Sardis Held Jan. 11

J. L. Carter, age 54, died at his home near Sardis on January 9th and funeral
services conducted by the Rev. W. D. Sherwood were held on January 11th with
interment in the Sardis Cemetery. Mr. Carter was a member of the Sardis
Baptist Church.

The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. J. L. Carter; two sons, W. A.
Carter and J. L. Carter, Jr.; three sisters, Mrs. L. A. Smith, Mrs. T. W. Box,
and Mrs. H. A. Durham; three brothers, J. N. Carter, M. Carter, and R. B. 
Carter.
