R. C. Carter, Sr., 95, Succumbs At Calvin, La.

Final Rites Were Held At Sanders Church Thursday

Robert C. Carter, Sr., age 95 years, one of the oldest citizens in the parish,
died at his home in Calvin, La., Wednesday.  Mr. Carter was born and reared
and died in the same community.  His life had been devoted to farming and
stock raising.

Funeral services were conducted at Sanders Church near Calvin, Thursday
afternoon at 3 o'clock.

Surviving Mr. Carter are his wife, Mrs. Pennie Carter; three daughters, Mrs.
Lue Maxey, Calvin; Mrs. Ella Quarles, Jonesboro; Mrs. Willie Rhymes,
Winnfield; four sons, Robert, Jr., of Calvin; Knoble of Calvin; Robbin and Jim
of Winnfield.
